Just 2 miles to charming Old Town Cottonwood, 16 miles to Sedona, 8 miles to Jerome and a 2.5 hr drive to the Grand Canyon. With its light and airy, modern southwest style, you'll feel at home right away! The Casita has a gas kiva fireplace, newly remodeled bathroom with a deep soaking tub, king bed, queen sleeper sofa, and a full kitchen & dining area. The private patio w/2 person hot tub soothes tired hiking muscles. The Casita is beside our main house where we live with our family and pets on 1 acre.
The Vaulted ceilings with skylights make this 700 square foot detached studio "casita" a cheerful welcoming space that you can call home for your stay. A full-size kitchen (minus a dishwasher), is equipped with everything you need to make your own home-cooked meals for a romantic fireside meal or to take on a picnic. After a day of exploring some of the many things to do in the Verde Valley, you can relax with a shower or a bath in the newly remodeled bathroom with a soaker tub.
There is filtered drinking water, so you need only to bring your own bottles to fill up to take with you on your outings. We provide a few small ice chests with ice packs you're free to take on hikes or picnics. We provide a Red Rock Pass for your use on many of the trails in Sedona.
There are 2 luggage racks for your suitcases, bedside lamps with USB ports, a large flat-screen TV with cable, Wi-Fi, and blu ray player with some movies. If you feel like unplugging, there is also a small selection of books and games to fill relaxation time. The new queen slide-out sofa is more comfortable than most since it has no bar in your back and there is a topper available for added comfort. There also is a desk for laptop use or applying makeup. We provide a portable playpen with a sheet, eating utensils, a bib, and a portable high chair for families with young children.
The back patio is fenced in for your privacy and safety, as there is an unfenced pool in our backyard (not for guest use at this time). Your patio gate latches are 5 feet tall, but if you have a little Houdini that can't swim you may want to book somewhere else for your peace of mind. Our two friendly and curious black cats may come onto the back patio to check things out but mostly keep to themselves.
The neighborhood:
We are a few blocks from 89A which makes our place ideal for site-seeing around the Verde Valley. It is one of the few agriculturally zoned acre lots in the middle of town. Expect to hear chickens (no roosters), goats, tractors, dogs and children playing during the day in a bustling neighborhood with peaceful nights.

"Adam and Amber's Casita is amazing! This stand-alone Casita is even better in person...the photos are close but it is gorgeous and so well-done! Spacious, sparkling clean and with everything that you can imagine to make your stay perfect! Comfortable bed, great shower, nice out-door space to hang out! Thoughtful touches and great communication from Amber at all times. Their Casita is located within 3 miles of Old Town Cottonwood, which has amazing little wineries and eats. Must try CREMA for breakfast....wow...and Merkin Vineyards for homemade local food...and wine. This was a great grounding point for us to explore...Jerome and Sedona are both within 30 minutes! Totally epic stay) Highly recommend the Casita."
