Welcome to this vintage, early 1980s-style riverfront cottage we call "Heron Then." This is Unit 253 at Bend's Riverside Commons Condominiums, a community that has gone under many different names over 50 years but is generally known as Bend Riverside.
This cottage lines the Deschutes River and is directly adjacent to Pioneer Park. It was built in the 1960s and is a very special place, closer to the river than anyone is allowed to build these days. The studio itself is quaint. It has a queen bed, a microwave and mini fridge and a combo tub/shower. Much of the furniture dates back to the 1980s, when this was a room at the legendary Bend Riverside Motel.
Don't let the classic furnishings deter you. This is a special little space unlike any other places in Bend. Not only are you feet from the river, but you're within a 12-15 minute walk into the heart of downtown Bend. The unit features a heat pump that will keep you warm in the winter, and cool with AC in the summer. The kitchenette features a microwave and mini-fridge. This is one of the rare pet-friendly units at Bend Riverside. You're welcome to bring up to two pets, so long as you pay the one-time $50 pet fee (per pet, plus tax).
Take the riverside trail north or south for a refreshing taste of the outdoors. The proximity to downtown Bend cannot be understated. You can walk to numerous restaurants, pubs and downtown boutiques.
Our property does include an indoor heated pool which is open daily for our guests to enjoy so don't forget to pack those swimsuits!
Basic cable will be provided in the rooms, that means your basic set up of analog channels. You are, however, most certainly welcome to bring your own streaming device, all tv's in our units are flat screen with HDMI hook ups. (HDMI cords not included in room)
