The cabin is located at the base of the mountains looking out to the open desert valley and joshua tree park in the distance. It sits on 5 private acres surrounded by open space. The cabin is one large suite with a queen bed, small kitchen and bathroom. There is also a separate small sleeping cottage with 1 full bed (no bathroom) and a covered porch for desert viewing and entertainment.
You can hike into the open desert right from the cabin. There is a beautiful 60 minute hike that takes you through the mountain canyon into the next desert valley and back to the cabin. In the spring there are many wildflowers around the cabin and we have seen desert tortoises on our hikes.
The property is private, serene and quiet but still 15 minutes from the national park, shops and restaurants. Artists, writers and nature lovers have enjoyed this unique experience.
The french doors lead into the back with a fire pit BBQ and views of the mountains. The cottage porch is also a great place to enjoy a glass of wine and view the desert sunset by the fireplace.
