Summary: The room was reasonably clean. There was a very strong mildew odor coming from underneath the kitchen sink and I had a hard time keeping the room aired out enough to keep it from being overwhelming. There was a large dog somewhere that barked incessantly. The door to my unit had poor lighting and it was difficult to see the keyhole after sundown. The ceiling fan was imbalanced and creaked and wobbled if it was turned on. The pool areas were nice. The WiFi worked well both in my unit and on the roof. Parking was not a problem. The staff were very friendly and communication with management was good. Transportation was limited to either a taxi or, in my case, a motor scooter that I rented so I wasn’t limited too badly. There are small tiendas nearby, but a couple small bottles of water at arrival and a guide for guests would have been helpful, especially since the city water is not potable. Overall I feel the price was fair, but due to the rough feel of the neighborhood, the lack of transportation options and the noise levels I don’t think I’ll return.
